1. Meet the client and read the brief
A commission begins with a townsfolk client, an occasion, and requirements tied to their tastes. Check every requirement before spending coin or choosing a silhouette.
2. Plan in the sketchbook
Use the sketchbook to choose the design, colour it, and attach fabric samples or appliqué ideas. Build 410 made the component names more visibly clickable.
3. Buy and place fabric
Select fabric within the commission budget, then decide which material belongs on each panel. Fabric pattern placement, grain direction, and bias cuts can remain visible on the final garment.
4. Arrange and cut every pattern piece
Lay out all required pieces before committing to a cut. Preserve enough continuous cloth for the largest remaining piece and confirm that each cut panel reaches the inventory.
5. Assemble on the mannequin
Place every panel on its intended position. Build 410 added a hover hint showing where an inventory panel belongs, which is especially useful when a commission appears complete but cannot be submitted.
6. Sew and decorate
Feed each panel through the sewing machine, then add buttons, bows, appliqué, lace trim, or other accessories. Thread colour can be changed by clicking the spools in Build 410.
7. Check every requirement and deliver
Return to the commission view and verify that each requirement is recognized before handing over the dress. Delivery awards reputation and coin; off-the-rack designs provide a separate creative and income loop.
